cl-irc comes with two example bots: clhs, a bot which performs hyperspec lookups, and cliki (aka minion on #lisp), an infobot that uses CLiki as a second-level database.
An IRC bot that listens for connections through the web and allows users to paste text into a webform. A link to the webform is then displayed on the selected channel.

There are also some older CL IRC bots, but none of them are maintained any longer.

Rather, it provides some structure for other applications that users might want to interact with over IRC. Main feature is "eval" which allows commands to be used in a channel and executed in the main lisp system with the output going back to the channel."

The author would like to note that current CVS at sourceforge.net has been heavily modified from the last packaged release. The current parsing library supports basically all of the core IRC protocol, with a CLOS interface, and anything not supported can be added by changing a set of patterns. Current CVS is not quite back to fully supporting the features in the last tar (mainly channel management and commands are missing), but the features supporting the main intent of the project is fully there - which is to have a base to extend bots from. It also should be easy to take the parsing package and use it in other projects as well. It is worked on in fits and spurts, when real life and real job permit.
