Here his comments about this modifications:

- I had to comment out all (REQUIRE) lines which referred to "clocc:..." or
  "port:..." logical pathnames.  SBCL leaves those alone on
  (TRANSLATE-LOGICAL-PATHNAME), Allegro signals an error.  Since dependency
  handling is already done by ASDF, these can be safely removed.

 - The first (IN-PACKAGE) form of mop.lisp (on line 21) doesn't include case
  for Allegro CL >= 6.  The package CLOS or ACLMOP is correct for Allegro
  8.0.
