CL-PNG

CL-PNG is a graphics library for reading and writing PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files.

CL-PNG used to be called PNG, and was originally written by Harald Musum?. It is now maintained by Vebjorn Ljosa, and can be downloaded from http://www.ljosa.com/~ljosa/software/cl-png/.

Version 0.5 was released on 2005-12-01.

Version 0.5 is a complete rewrite. Whereas earlier versions aimed to implement the format in Lisp, without relying on external libraries, the current version uses the foreign function interface to call libpng, the official PNG reference library. As a result, we benefit from all the effort that has gone into making that library efficient and able to handle corner cases.
